About the Role
Define and build the end-to-end hardware and software stack for computer vision systems deployed in real-world operational environments. Hands-on role spanning cameras, edge compute, networking, and model deployment.
Full Description
Role Overview
We are seeking an AI Vision Architect to define and build the end-to-end hardware and software stack for computer vision systems deployed in real-world operational environments.
You will be responsible for architectural decisions spanning cameras, edge compute, networking, model deployment, and system integration. This is a hands-on role focused on building production-grade vision systems, not research demos.
What You Will Do
• Define architecture for vision systems including cameras, sensors, edge devices, and cloud integration
• Select and validate hardware for industrial and outdoor environments
• Design software stacks for image capture, processing, and inference
• Partner with AI engineers to deploy and optimize vision models
• Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and maintainable in the field
• Support pilots, deployments, and ongoing improvements
What Success Looks Like
• Vision systems that perform reliably in real-world conditions
• Clean, repeatable deployment patterns for new sites
• Strong alignment between hardware, software, and AI model requirements
• Reduced friction from prototype to production
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Experience building computer vision systems end to end
• Strong understanding of cameras, optics, and edge compute
• Experience deploying vision systems in production environments
• Comfortable bridging hardware and software decisions
Personal Traits We Value
• Systems thinker
• Detail-oriented but pragmatic
• Comfortable troubleshooting in the field
• Bias toward shipping working solutions
